There’s Nothing Quite Like This In Youth Baseball…
The Baseball Youth Nationals is the premier youth baseball tournament in the nation! The Nationals is a week-long national tournament for 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U baseball teams played at the brand new Elizabethtown Sports Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky just south of Louisville, Kentucky and the home of Louisville Slugger. This new park, completed in July 2012, is bar none, the best youth baseball complex in the country! The park features pristine fields, covered, stadium spectator seating, wireless electronic scoreboards, covered and enclosed dugouts, wireless (WiFi) Internet and more!
There’s nothing quite like the Nationals in youth baseball. The event features as many as 24 teams in each age division, each week from 6 different age groups, 9U-14U. Each team is guaranteed at least 6 games, half will play 7 games, with a maximum of 10 games possible. Teams are carefully selected from all submitted registrations to promote an even playing level with parity among participating teams. This is unique to the Nationals. We make every effort to create a tournament with true parity. Our objective is to promote an equal playing level within the field. At the very least, we aspire to match teams with equal historical success and classification in pool play games. We want to give every team a realistic opportunity to compete each and every time they take the field.
Another unique feature to the Nationals youth baseball tournament is our exclusive Nationals All-Star game. On Championship Thursday, the selection committee, made up of the Nationals tournament directors, will select All-Star teams from each age group in a ceremony preceding the skills competitions and championships. Teams that have qualified for the championship games in their respective age group will have their players selected and recognized, but excluded from the All-Star game so they can concentrate on their championship games later that evening. 28 players will be selected (14 North, 14 South). At least one player is guaranteed to be selected from all participating teams. Those players will be announced in our All-Star ceremonies and presented with an All-Star medal and jersey they will wear for the All-Star game. The medal and jersey are theirs to keep as a memorable souvenir of their achievement at the Nationals.
One of the amenities that makes the Nationals an unforgettable experience for your youth baseball player is the opportunity to visit the famous Louisville Slugger bat factory and museum. Each team will be scheduled just one pool play game for one of the first 4 days of the tournament so they may spend the rest of their day making the short trip north to Louisville, KY to visit the Louisville Slugger factory. A scheduled shuttle will provide teams and families transportation to and from the factory for an unforgettable tour. See the world’s biggest bat, an iconic, six-story tall replica of Babe Ruth’s bat! You will see actual, current MLB player bats being made during the factory tour! An experience your child will not forget! Admission and shuttle are part of your tournament package (no extra fee).
