There’s nothing quite like the Nationals in youth baseball. The event features teams from all over the country and world, each week from 7 different age groups, 9U-15U. Each team plays 6-10 games during the week long tournament. Schedules are carefully created from all submitted registrations to promote an even playing level with parity among participating teams. This is unique to the Nationals. We make every effort to create a tournament with true parity. Our objective is to promote an equal playing level within the field. At the very least, we aspire to match teams with equal historical success and classification in pool play games. We want to give every team a realistic opportunity to compete each and every time they take the field.
Another unique feature to the Youth Baseball Nationals tournament is our exclusive Nationals All-Star game. After each pool play game, the head coach must nominate and rank 3 players from the opposing team for all-star selection. These nominations will be written on a Nationals All Star Nomination Card and given to the Tournament Director after each pool play game. There will be a total of 28 players selected in each age group divided evenly (14 each) between the two-formed teams. The selections for the All-Star game will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on Championship Thursday. Each player selected will be called to the podium and receive an award for their selection as well as an All-Star jersey to wear during the game and keep as a souvenir. The head coaches and coaching staff for the All-Star game will be the head coaches and their respective staff of the two teams that played in the championship game earlier that day. These coaches will be required to make sure all selected players do get playing time in the All-Star game. Coaches must bat their entire lineup and are allowed free defensive substitutions. The head coach of each team will receive a gift from the Nationals as appreciation for taking time to lead their respective All-Star team.
All players and coaches will receive complimentary week long passes to Myrtle Waves Water Park! Myrtle Waves is South Carolina’s largest water park and features tons of tube and body slides, large wave pool, lazy river and more. Players and coaches will also receive complimentary admission to Broadway Grand Prix race park featuring 7 go-kart tracks, a large arcade, 2 mini golf courses, thrill rides and more!
