Henry Parker Athletic Complex

Located just west of Ocean City, Maryland in Salisbury, the Henry Parker Athletic Complex went through a major transformation in the fall of 2017 with 3 new fields installed and 1 other field completely re-done. It is now one of the premier facilities in the country and arguably the best youth baseball park in the northeast with 8 immaculate diamonds nestled in a beautiful, wooded area providing plenty of shade and comfort!

FIELDS

Gorgeous 8 field complex located in beautiful Salisbury, Maryland just west of Ocean City!

SYNTHETIC TURF

4 of the 8 fields feature newly installed synthetic turf surfaces for an incredible Major League type playing surface. The synthetic turf provides much faster drainage and virtually no rain outs

SHADED, COVERED SEATING

Spectator seating is under shade, surrounded by hundreds of full trees, providing comfort while taking in your kid’s games

LARGE PLAYGROUNDS

Large, clean playground for the little ones to stay occupied while siblings are playing

Henry Parker Athletic Complex Park Rules

For game play, we will follow NFHS (National Federation of State High School) rules with the exception of any specific in-house rules stated here and/or the Welcome Packet

Admission

Admission to all of the Youth Baseball Nationals games is included in the team entry fees. There will be NO GATE FEE for the event! We encourage family and friends to come to the complex to cheer on the athletes and show their support.

Baseball, Equipment and Uniforms

Game balls will be provided for all games.  Teams are to bring their own practice balls and any other necessary equipment (i.e. catcher’s gear, bats, gloves, etc.).  Uniforms are NOT provided at the Nationals. Teams are to provide their own uniforms.  Each player on a team should have a unique number displayed on their jersey.

Cleats

METAL CLEATS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT GOLDEN EAGLE SPORTS PARK!  Plastic/Rubber cleats, turf shoes or regular, athletic shoes are required for all age groups, including 13U, 14U and 15U!

Coolers

ONE (1) 5-gallon water jug filled with ice and water per team will be permitted in the dugout. Additional coolers and ice chests may not be brought into the complex by parents, coaches, players or spectators. Coolers designed to carry bottles or cans are not permitted. ONLY coolers designed to carry ice water will be permitted.

Dugout Access

ONLY registered coaches and players are allowed on the field and inside the dugouts. Teams are NOT permitted to have a batboy/batgirl at any time. Registered coaches are required to be wearing their Nationals coach pass at all times in order to be allowed on the field of play and inside the dugouts.

First Aid

The Nationals has a medical team that will be onsite for the duration of the event. It is important to remember that our medical team are not medical doctors. They will provide basic first aid, determine the severity of injuries and make recommendations as to whether or not a player should see a doctor or go to an emergency room. The staff are employees of the local hospital closest to the facility.

Facility Rules

  • Disorderly conduct and physical/verbal assault will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the park for the remainder of the tournament.
  • Pets are not permitted at the park.
  • ONE (1) 5-gallon water jug filled with ice and water per team will be permitted in the dugout. Additional coolers and ice chests may not be brought into the complex by parents, coaches, players or spectators. Coolers designed to carry bottles or cans are not permitted. ONLY coolers designed to carry ice water will be permitted.
  • Loudspeakers, sound systems are prohibited.
  • Private vehicles are prohibited on turf surfaces, sidewalks, service driveways and emergency zones. All vehicles must be in proper designated parking areas. Violators will be ticketed and towed at owner’s expense.
  • Overnight parking is prohibited.
  • Skateboards, scooters, bicycles or roller blades are prohibited.
  • No hitting of golf balls.
  • No staking of signs, banners, tents, shade, or umbrellas into the turf is allowed.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Grills or cookers are prohibited, including in facility parking lots.
  • Drinking of alcohol in the parking lots or bringing alcohol into the park is prohibited.
  • No fireworks or any open flame is allowed.
  • Gum, seeds, or nuts are prohibited.
  • No soft toss against permanent fencing/netting.
  • NO metal cleats are permitted, including 13U, 14U and 15U age divisions.

Game Warm-Ups

No warm-ups on the infields. All pre-game warm-ups will need to be made in the outfield grass. No soft-tossing into fences.

Parking

Parking is FREE and available at designated areas.  Be prepared to arrive early should you need to walk from parking lot to baseball field. Limited shuttle service will be available, but we cannot guarantee that the shuttle will be available for your party when you arrive at the park. We are not responsible for any damaged vehicles, theft or loss of property.

Practices, Batting Cages

There are no designated practice areas at Golden Eagle Sports Park. However, teams are welcome to utilize any of the open areas at their discretion. Teams are not permitted to use an open game field for practice during the event. Golden Eagle Sports Park does not have batting cages.
